(Halichoerus grypus)

Capelli arrive at MARC on 1/10/12. She was found by some fishermen at Vinalhaven Island in Maine. She is the youngest grey seal we’ve seen at MARC. She arrived in good body condition, but had a full white lanugo coat, and her umbilical cord was still attached. We estimated her to only be a few days old. Capelli received our grey seal milk formula for a few weeks before she transitioned to a diet of fish. She now has a beautiful light grey coat covered with dark spots. She has learned how to eat fish and has gained close to 50 pounds!Arrival Date: 1/10/2012
